• Saturday, Nov. 6th: Day of workshops with Lurainya and guest instructors! Located in Doylestown at the James Lorah Auditorium, times and cost to be announced soon.

From beginner through advanced, these workshops have something for everyone!

• For beginners and those wanting to freshen up their technique: basic bellydance technique with Lurainya
• For those more advanced dancers: a fun, modern choreography by Lurainya
• Drumming: learn basic doumbek and rhythm with Megan Chivetta, of the band Zaar Dust
• Dancing to a Live Drum Solo: taught by Megan and Lurainya
• Yoga for dancers, and other workshops with out of town instructors to be added soon!

• Lurainya’s other classes and performances are all on hold while Lurainya’s efforts are focused on preparing her AMRITA CANDRA production, and working on her nonprofit called WomenMove. Please visit WomenMove.org for more details on both. AMRITA CANDRA will be a huge production, set for 11.11.11 in Philadelphia, with performers, composers, choreographers, and keynote speakers from around the country.

This will be a benefit show, with proceeds going to female education. We are currently fundraising to cover all expenses – the more money we raise now, the more money we can give to the cause.
